SUCTION ENHANCED LMA

Suction Enhanced Laryngeal Mask Airway

Introducing the next generation of Laryngeal Mask Airway

THE PROBLEM WITH LARYNGEAL MASK AIRWAY's

  • Build up of saliva and blood occurs above the LMA during the course of the procedure

  • Prior to extubation suctioning of these secretions occurs via blind suctioning of mouth using Yankaeur sucker -> can lead to unintentional oropharyngeal trauma

  • Secretions left behind can be dislodged during the LMA removal and can lead to laryngospasm – a potentially life threatening airway complication from anaesthesia

THE SOLUTION

We have improved the safety of LMAs by having a nontraumatic system to suction the secretions built up above the body/cuff of the laryngeal mask airway.

Our product contains a unique design with a suction shield to the oropharyngeal surface of the laryngeal mask airway which allows capture of pooled secretions and suction prior to and during removal, as well as the potential for intermittent suction during the procedure

Thus much lower risk of secretions being dislodged during laryngeal mask airway removal and therefore lower risk of laryngospasm
